Public Service Announcements SUPAR - School of Urban Planning and Architecture

Supar was an inner city project based charter school partnered with the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Architecture and Urban Planning School.  It lasted 5 years until its funding was cut.  Many of the students at SUPAR had been enrolled in a number of traditional high schools without success prior to coming to SUPAR.  SUPAR created an inclusive atmosphere with a hands on educational pedagogy which the students engaged in wholeheartedly.  These public service announcements were a collaboration of the senior graduating class, each of whom had worked with the  organizations presented throughout their senior year.

TLN - student community project - The Teacher Lead Network is an organization of charter schools that do not have traditional structures (no principals) but rather a system of democratic teacher governance. This is a video about intercessions - the schools often meet year round and subsequently have larger breaks throughout the year.  The intercessions were a chance for students to engage in longer blocks of concentrated learning.
